How to get started

Follow these steps in order for a smoother setup experience, from first login to a ready-to-sell catalog.

1

Open the app inside Shopify

Launch the MyKids-USA Retailer App directly from your Shopify admin and work inside an embedded experience designed for approved retailers.

2

Browse products and save favorites

Explore the approved catalog, apply filters, and save favorites to build a shortlist before importing products to your store.

3

Add products to your store

Click Add to site on the products you want to publish. Imported products will appear in the Added to site section for review and management.

4

Sync inventory

Run Sync inventory after importing products to keep quantities aligned with the retailer location selected in Settings.

Best practice: import products first, then run inventory sync to keep your catalog accurate.
5

Save package mapping

Open the product detail or imported product card, select the correct package option, and click Save package to complete setup.

Package mapping helps keep imported products properly configured for the next steps.
6

Use Bulk Import when available

Eligible retailers can use Bulk Import to add a larger USA catalog selection more efficiently, then run bulk inventory sync as a separate step.

Bulk Import is ideal for merchants building a larger catalog and reviewing products at scale.

Do I need to stay on the page during bulk jobs?

No. Bulk jobs continue in the background. You can return to the Bulk Import area to review progress, completed counts, and products that may need attention.

What should I do after importing products?

Review the Added to site section, sync inventory, and save package mapping where needed so your store remains organized and ready for the next step.
